Up Grade Your FDVI
Would you like to
be rid of the uncertain normalization to a reference beam?
Have you been struggling to get decent signals from your target surface?
Do you need to resolve events on the sub-sub-nanosecond time scale?
For a limited time we are offering
upgrades at our cost to owners of our earlier models. These upgrades will
transform older FDVIs to the latest high power, EDFA enhanced, full
quadrature, push pull
Mark IV-3000 System.
Upgrade of Older
Mark II and Mark III Systems:
These systems had a simpler
interferometer with only two or three output signals: “sin” “cos” and
“reference.” A visible light source
was provided but it was not built in and required fibres to be re-connected
for use. The power system used older
gel-cell Pb-acid batteries with limited lifespans. And because they lack the newly available
EDFA, they required target surfaces with reasonably good reflectivity.
The upgrade fixes all of these shortcomings
and includes all of the following:
Replacement of the original 10 mW laser with the new ultra-narrow linewidth 10 mW laser
Replacement of the 2 channel with
Reference interferometer with a full-quadrature push pull unit with four
outputs, +sin, -sin, +cos, -cos
Addition of an EDFA to boost the returned light signal by +30 dB. This will give you whopping big signal to
noise ratios with target surface reflectivities of 0.1% and lower.
Upgrade of the battery and charging system to higher power latest technology
Nickel Metal Hydride.
Inclusion of a visible Red laser within the FDVI chassis and fiber-coupled
into the system to provide a "pilot beam" – no more fiddling with
connectors.
Complete re-packaging in a 1U Rack Mount chassis with new front panel
controls
One additional Series G Photodetector Module
Software for full-quadrature push pull analysis
Cost will depend on exactly what your old system is, but will
generally be
much less than the cost of a new Mark IV-3000
System.

Upgrade of More
Recent Mark 4 Push Pull Systems
There are many of these systems out there. They have the full quadrature push-pull
interferometer, but may lack some of the latest developments such as the
internal visible aiming or “Pilot” source, and they run on older gel-cell
Pb-acid batteries and as before, they require fairly good target surfaces in
order to get strong signals for analysis.
The upgrade fixes all of these
shortcomings and includes all of the following:
Replacement
of the original 10 mW laser with the new ultra-narrow linewidth 10 mW laser
Addition of an EDFA to boost the
returned light signal by +30 dB. This
will give you whopping big signal to noise ratios with target surface
reflectivities of 0.1% and lower.
Upgrade of the battery and charging system to higher power latest technology
Nickel Metal Hydride.
Inclusion of a visible Red laser within the FDVI chassis and fiber-coupled
into the system to provide a "pilot beam” – (if not already there)
Complete re-packaging in a 1U Rack Mount chassis with new front panel
controls
Latest Software for full-quadrature push pull analysis
Cost will depend on exactly what your old system is, but will
generally be
very much less than the cost of a new
Mark IV-3000 System.
Please Inquire for a Quotation
Send us your old FDVI system with a purchase order for the
upgrade, and we'll have you back in operation with the best in Doppler
Velocity Interferometry in less than six weeks.
